For Packs and Stuff Sacks –
With our packs, always remove aluminum stays before cleaning. With those removed, you can turn the pack inside out to clean the interior. Hand-wash in the tub, spot-cleaning with light scrubbing on worn areas using a non-detergent based soap and warm water. Then let it hang until dry. The same approach applies to our Stuff Sacks.
For Shelters, Tarps, and Tents –
Take the time on a nice sunny day at home and wash your shelter out, spot-cleaning any areas that need it. A hose with a bucket of water and a non-detergent based soap will do the trick on any of our DCF fabrics. Air-dry your shelter by either pitching it and leaving it out with the door open or hang-dry it. Make sure your shelter is completely dry before folding and packing it into a Stuff Sack. This will help protect the fabric and keep it safe from any damage.
